About the Company

SACL is a young, innovative Dallas-based company in the college and university alumni association and club industry. We provide a number of strategic, administrative, event, fundraising and bookkeeping services to alumni associations as well as individual alumni, affinity, Greek and parent’s clubs. Most of our clients are non-profit entities run by sharp and committed volunteers – and our role is to make it is easy as possible for these volunteers to be successful.

The company is in its third year, and accordingly has a small team that we are seeking to grow through contractors. The culture is friendly and supportive, yet fast-paced, fluid and dynamic as you might expect from a growing organization.

Job Description

SACL is seeking a friendly, competent, service- and detail-oriented person to provide administrative and event management support to the president and the company’s client organizations. This person would work from home and be available for at least part of the US work day until 1:00 CT. Although the role is a work-from-home opportunity, it is not isolated. Rather, there is regular communication across the team compounded by weekly team conference calls to keep everyone in sync.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative activities such as taking meeting minutes, updating team lists and generating name tags on a regular basis and for various clients.

• Tracking & manipulate various types of content on Excel spreadsheets.

• Maintain the client’s website including posting events, generating tickets, updating content, managing the member database, transactional support and reporting.

• Perform communication functions via the creation and dissemination of newsletters, posting on social media and other channels.

Requirements

• Strong spoken and written English language skills.

• Completion of an undergraduate college degree.

• Able to work 40 hours or more a week on US standard hours, although we can be flexible (It is a plus if also available to assist on weekends if planned in advance).

• 5+ years of experience working in an online job.

• The ability to support more than one project at a time effectively.

• Strong customer service-oriented mindset.

• Strong self-discipline and solid work ethic.

• Strong attention to detail, documentation and organization – reviews own work.

• Has an appropriate & secure home office (computer, high speed internet, firewall and anti-virus protection in place, camera) protected for other person’s access.

• Excellent knowledge and extensive use of Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel), with strong computer skills in general.

• Comfortable learning how to use various web tools and platforms.
