WORK REMOTELY: depends on the season (must be based in Cebu) JOB ROLE: Sales Consultant Booking Agent COMPANY: Boat Hire Sydney WORK HOURS: Initially approx 25-40 hours per week (negotiable), Sydney Australia Timezone WORK DURATION: Long term however hours will drop over the Winter season (approx April - Aug) RATE/SALARY RANGE: AUD $7.30 per hour base salary + uncapped commission (e.g. $200 per week commission for on-target earnings)

ABOUT THE COMPANY: BHS is a leading booking agency for boat charters in Sydney having grown steadily to become a Travel and Tourism Business of the Year Finalist. We are a small business run from our head in Australia and we market for our boat owning clients operating in Sydney Harbour providing cruises such as birthday parties, corporate events and casual cruises / parties.

JOB DESCRIPTION: In summary: The Sales Consultant role is critical to the success of our business. The core focus of the role is to get more people to hold their event on one of our boats, whilst providing top class customer service to our customers and boat owning clients. Reporting to the Head of Sales and Events, you will be responsible for signing up more customers by nurturing our inbound enquiries.

Detail: New business - To liaise with our new customers to help them find a suitable boat based on their requirements and boat availability within the fleet (no previous boat experience or knowledge is required but a general interest is preferable). You will build a rapport with both customers and boat owners and strive to exceed monthly KPIs keeping in mind it is essential to get the right people on the right boat (e.g. we don't recommend a delicate heritage boat for a rowdy 21st Birthday party, even if it is one of the last boats available!). Event management - manage confirmed bookings which involves answering customer questions about their cruise, diligently dealing with any booking change requests they may have and generally liaising with customers and boat owners to ensure the cruise is as successful and enjoyable as possible.

Skills / Experience Required:

  • Native level English - those that have lived in an English speaking country are particularly encouraged to apply.
  • Good communication skills to purvey a professional and friendly image in this luxury services market.
  • Self confidence in dealing with enquiries over the phone and prior experience is desirable.
  • Minimum 1 year proven successful experience in phone based sales, working towards KPIs.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Self motivated and also a good team player.
  • Comfortable using computers.
