Is it ok to start without any formal contract with clients?

Hi guys,

Is it ok to start without any formal contract with clients? I got a work online and my client says he refuses to sign a formal contract and he says it's quite normal how he works with employees like me.

I can't tell whether he said he is true or not. Please help.

Meron casual aggrement lang ,meron clienr sasabihin na long term contract pero di naman pala.

Depende sayo. Yung 2 client ko walang contract e yung isa lng meron. May trust naman ako sa kanila kahit nung una pa lang, So okay lang sakin.
